Woody is making big changes. Please don't judge me as I am not a professional trainer and you might think at some points I am doing wrong. However if you have some critical comments I can use feel free to bring it. Or complements ;-) I am doing the best I can here. Sometimes I need to cross his boundaries and push him to get where I can touch him. If I am to soft or slow he gets more insecure. Keep in mind that this horse was NOT to be touched or approached yesterday and I got not even get close with either a halter or a rope. Woody tries very very hard.
There is a part one but my computer keeps freezing so didn't got it uploaded yet
ReplyDeleteThis is MAGIC :) Thanks for sharing Marion. You are doing an exceptional JOB :)
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a fantastic job with him!! Did you try to join up?? If yes, hoe did it go? He is handsome and i can see he wants to please you!! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteWoody is so handsome! Marion's magic is working. YAY!! It is so wonderful to see this! Caren, will Peter see this in Singapore? :-)
ReplyDeleteYes he will! And he will be as much impressed than I am :)
DeleteThis is from Feral to Friend :) And Marion shows how to do it! KUDOS!
ReplyDeleteI would like to make one comment with the intent to help you and Woody. When you approach Woody to pet on him, if he moves to back away (Even just one foot)- send him away again immediately so that he will learn that it is less "work" for him to allow your approach. Overall, great job and you have a nice calm manner. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice Stepahnie :)

ReplyDeleteI agree Marion, great job and you do have a great feel... so here is my comment...try long pauses between your different actions, so that he can think about it for a minute. I am immensely curious so if you try this let me know... also thank your camera person!
