Woody, CinderElla and Sam moving from KS to KY

The weekend of January 22 my husband Jaro and me are heading to Kansas. We left at three in the afternoon so we can drive all night. The drive went very smooth although we had some bad weather and the road at some point was very slick. I was getting worried because a big accident happened on the other side of the road. We where empty but what if our trailer is loaded with our precious horses.

Woody and CinderElla are coming for sure, and if we have room left we will take Sam too. January 22 is my birthday so I thought is was a nice birthday trip.

When we got there it was very early ( 6.00) and everybody was still asleep, so we took a nap too.
As soon as we saw movement we got up and meet Linda and her husband where the horses where fostered. The horses where already separated from the herd and ready to go.
It was a challenge though since the are not handled to be loaded and Woody lost his halter and he was the most scared one. Finally we backup-ed the trailer and drove Woody in. He is the biggest and heaviest so we wanted him in the front of the trailer. We shut the divider and then drove in CinderElla, and there was room enough for Sam too. I was worried that the would be very scared and restless in the trailer but they where not. It was freezing cold so we went back on the road with the heather on :-)
We stopped several times to check on them and after the first stop we found out Woody would only stand with his face towards Cinder and Sam. But his hay net was in the front. But he was so afraid we could not even though him without him shivering and looking like he was going to get killed. But Jaro got in and very slowly took down the hay net and put it in front of him. He was so thankful, started eating. We did the same with Cinder and Sam so they where all eating and drinking face to face.
The rest of the trip went very good.
We arrived in the middle of the night back at our barn. We had set up a coral but I did not wanted to turn them in there while it was dark. We have a very big barn so we closed the big doors and let them loos in the barn. The liked it and everybody went to sleep.
